KURT LENTZ

CRYPTOGRAPHER.
QUANTUM CRYPTOGRAPHY.

Kurt Isaac Lentz, PhD in Quantum Mechanics and Physics with emphasis on Cryptography.

A moderately tall gentleman of 6’3”. Physically fit but not muscle bound.

Loves running and a good game of squash.

Spends most of his time working through the mathematical properties of matrix algebras.

Curious. Idealizes Werner Heisenberg, and shares a lineage connected to the eminent physicist—something he never ever discusses.

He is modest in his manner but usually well attired.

A touch of gray at his temples gives him an air of distinction.

A solitary individual except for collaborating with colleagues.

Single by choice. At 45 he has little time to dedicate to another, feeling it would be unfair to a woman—and even worse for his work.

To unwind he plays chess.

Always admired the games of Bobby Fischer and Magnus Carlsen.

Nowhere near a master, achieving a 2200 rating—respectable, given the limited time he plays.

An erudite memory and good insight serve him well.

He could have been a grandmaster if he had chosen that path.

But his love is cryptography.
